Community Service and The Village Lower School

The faculty and staff at The Village Lower School takes great pride in its year-round efforts to enrich the lives of the less fortunate, the ill and the elderly through our various community service programs. This strictly voluntary program provides a forum to help inspire social consciousness and promote social responsibility in our students. They also discover that the virtues of empathy, tolerance and kindness lie within them and learn that even the smallest gestures can be of great value to the human spirit.

Past and current involvements include our annual Halloween Parade at the St. Elizabeth Home, featuring our students in costume and the collection of contributions for the Rhode Island Food & Clothing Drive. We also host Grandfriends Day at the school as an opportunity for students to invite grandparents or a grandfriend to see what school is like in this day and age.
